Women's Volleyball Show Heart in Tight Clash with Loyalist
Barrie, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies battled hard against Loyalist, in a competitive match that extended across four sets, ultimately ending in a 3-1 loss for the Grizzlies. The match opened with Loyalist taking the first set 25-16, but the Grizzlies rebounded with a determined second-set victory, finishing 25-23. Loyalist's momentum surged in the final two sets, securing the win with scores of 25-11 and 25-15.
Monika Kochanowski (Windsor, ON) led the Grizzlies with an efficient performance, tallying 7 kills on a .208 hitting percentage, alongside 5 digs and 2 block assists. Patrycja Sajda (Scarborough, ON) contributed significantly with 15 kills, achieving an impressive .458 hitting percentage and recording 10 digs. Mackenzie Roy (Edmonton, AB) displayed her playmaking abilities, setting up her teammates with 28 assists.
Despite a solid effort, the Grizzlies couldn’t stave off Loyalist's determined offense. The Grizzlies look forward to their next opportunity to bounce back and bring their intensity.
