Women's Volleyball Fall Short Against Canadore
Barrie, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies faced a challenging afternoon, falling to the Canadore Panthers in straight sets (18-25, 22-25, 16-25) in their latest matchup.
Ava Dubois-Wood (Barrie, ON) led the Grizzlies with a standout performance, tallying six kills on a .357 hitting percentage, complemented by five digs and a solid presence at the net. Emma Kot (Weyburn, SK) contributed with four kills and three digs, showing her versatility on the court.
Monika Kochanowski (Windsor, ON) and Patrycja Sajda (Scarborough, ON) both chipped in with valuable offensive plays, but the team struggled to find rhythm against the well-organized Canadore defense. The Grizzlies’ setting duties were anchored by Mackenzie Roy (Edmonton, AB), who tallied 17 assists and nine digs.
Despite showing flashes of their potential, Georgian couldn’t overcome Canadore's aggressive serving and efficient attack. The Grizzlies will aim to regroup and adjust as they look forward to their next game, on the road at Centennial on November 12, 2024.
