WOMEN’S VOLLEYBALL COME UP SHORT IN PLAYOFF GAME
Isabella Antonelli and the Georgian Grizzlies took on the Niagara Knights in an OCAA crossover playoff game on Saturday afternoon.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team travelled to Welland to face the Niagara Knights in an OCAA crossover playoff game on Saturday afternoon.
The Knights used the home court to their advantage as they were able to defeat the Grizzlies in straight sets 3-0.
Set scores were 25-11, 25-16 and 25-21.
Carina Brooks (Caledon) led the Grizzlies in scoring with 12 points from 10 kills and two aces while teammate Isabella Antonelli (Windsor) had six kills along with a block.
Sophia Clement (Scarborough) led Georgian with 16 assists and as well with 12 digs.
That unfortunately wraps up the Grizzlies season as the Knights will advance to the 2020 OCAA Women's Volleyball Championship hosted by Canadore College in North Bay.
