WOMEN'S INDOOR SOCCER FINISH THIRD AT GEORGIAN INVITATIONAL
The Grizzlies women's indoor soccer team battled hard but finished in third place at the Georgian Invitational tournament on Friday.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's indoor soccer team hosted their annual Georgian Invitational tournament on Friday, Feb. 21 at the Bradford Sports Dome in Bradford, ON.
Participating at the tournament on the women's side were the Grizzlies, the Centennial Colts, the George Brown Huskies and the Canadore Panthers.
The Grizzlies played in close games throughout the tournament but were unable to find the scoresheet.
Georgian fell 2-0 to the Centennial Colts, 1-0 to the George Brown Huskies and finished with a 0-0 draw against the Canadore Panthers. The Grizzlies finished in third place at the tournament.
The George Brown Huskies were the eventual winners of the Georgian Invitational for the women's division as each went a perfect 3-0 in pool play.
The Grizzlies will next compete at the OCAA Regionals on Thursday, Mar. 5 at Seneca College as they will be going for a shot at making the OCAA provincial championships.
