Barrie, ON -- Grizzlies defeat Algonquin for fifth consecutive sweep.
In the first set, Algonquin struggled to find their rhythm, scoring only 19 points compared to Georgian's 25. The second set saw a similar pattern, with Algonquin scoring 17 points and Georgian taking the set with 25 points. In the final set, Algonquin's performance improved slightly, but they still fell short with 18 points, while Georgian secured the win with 25 points.
The Grizzlies displayed a strong performance in all aspects of the game. Their attack, serve, and block were all efficient, leading to their victory. Kaleb Cole (Stratford, ON) was the top scorer for Georgian with 12 kills, followed by Tyrell Belgrove (Markham, ON) with 10 kills and Liam Ludlow (Barrie, ON) with seven kills.
Kenneth Ang (Edmonton, AB) played a crucial role as Georgian's setter, providing 30 assists. Ethan Eiselt-Rolfe (Barrie, ON) and Liam Thomas (Barrie, ON) also made significant contributions to the team's success.
Overall, Georgian College's men's volleyball team showcased their dominance in the match against Algonquin College. Their strong performance in all areas of the game led to a convincing 3-0 victory.
