Men's Basketball Battle Hard but Fall to Seneca in Tough Road Matchup
King, ON -- The Georgian Grizzlies fell to the Seneca Sting 93-76 in an intense road matchup. Despite a competitive first half, where the Grizzlies trailed by just two points (33-35), Seneca’s explosive third quarter proved too much to overcome. The Sting outscored the Grizzlies 34-18 in the third frame, cementing their control of the game.
Georgian’s Kevonte Anderson (Toronto, ON) led the charge with 13 points, contributing on both ends with three rebounds and three assists. Uzziah Glasgow (Vaughan, ON) made an impact in limited minutes, shooting a perfect 3-for-3 from the field and adding 12 points. Off the bench, Jason Sache (Kanata, ON) provided a solid performance with 10 points and three rebounds, showcasing his consistency at the free-throw line with 6-of-10 shooting.
While the Grizzlies struggled to find their rhythm from beyond the arc, shooting just 10% (2-of-20), their resilience at the free-throw line kept them competitive, converting 34 of 54 attempts. Rebounding was a challenge for the team, as they were outrebounded 34-26, giving Seneca an edge in second-chance opportunities.
The Grizzlies will look to bounce back and refine their approach as they prepare for their next contest, aiming to capitalize on their strong individual performances and improve their defensive execution.
