Grizzlies Host OCAA Golfers at Georgian Invitational
Barrie, ON – The Georgian Grizzlies played host to the second Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) golf event of the season at the Heritage Hills Golf Club.Once again, Georgian entered two men’s teams in the event which also marked the season debut for Bryden Dilley (Barrie, ON), Georgian’s female rookie of the year in 2022.After a challenging front nine, Dilley bounced back with a two-over 38 on the back to shoot 83. She finished in fifth-place, only four strokes behind the low score of the day.The Georgian “Black” team finished in seventh-place with a team total of 330, 3-strokes ahead of Georgian “Blue”.
Rookies Graeme MacDougall (Huntsville, ON) and Matt Inglis (Barrie, ON) led the way for Team “Black” with a pair of 78’s, while Griffin Jones (Sudbury, ON) was the low individual for Team “Blue” with an 80.
Humber College took home the men’s and women’s team titles. Fanshawe’s Ben Landers shot a five-under 67 to win the men’s individual honours, while Elaine Surjorajogo and Madison Ouellette each shot 79 to finish in a tie for first place.
