Ottawa, ON -- Georgian falls to dominant La Cite squad, 3-0.
In the first set, Georgian struggled with their attack, recording only 5 kills out of 31 attempts. La Cite, on the other hand, had a hitting percentage of .233, with 12 kills out of 30 attempts. Despite a late surge from Georgian, La Cite managed to secure the set with a score of 25-22.
The second set saw the Grizzlies continue to struggle with their attack, recording only 3 kills out of 31 attempts, resulting in a hitting percentage of -.194. La Cite won the set with a score of 25-16.
In the final set, Georgian's attack improved slightly, with 6 kills out of 25 attempts, resulting in a hitting percentage of .120. However, La Cite maintained a hitting percentage of .400, recording 10 kills out of 20 attempts. La Cite won the set with a score of 25-13, securing the match victory.
On the Georgian side, Ashlynn Harris (Orillia, ON) and Brooklyn Smith (Barrie, ON) both had 2 kills each, with Harris also contributing 2 blocks. Symantha Welsh (Sudbury, ON) recorded 9 assists for Georgian.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team will be back on the court Wednesday night against George Brown College for their final match of the fall semester.
