OSHAWA, ON -- Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball fall to dominant Durham College team, 3-0 final.
Throughout the match, Durham showcased exemplary skills in all aspects of the game. Their attackers dominated the court, consistently hitting the ball with accuracy and power. Moreover, their serving and blocking abilities were crucial in securing crucial points and disrupting the rhythm of the Grizzlies.
In the first set, Georgian struggled to find their rhythm, committing several errors and finishing with a negative hitting percentage of -.087. Durham took advantage of this and capitalized on their opportunities, winning the set 25-20. The second set saw a slight improvement from Georgian, but Durham's strong offense and solid defense proved to be too much for them. Durham won the set 25-11.
Georgian showed some fight in the third set, but Durham's efficiency and consistency ultimately sealed their victory. Georgian's Carina Brooks (Caledon, ON) and Emma Kot (Weyburn, SK) tried to spark a comeback with their offensive contributions, but Durham's defense held strong.
