Grizzlies come up short to Canadore
North Bay, ON -- Grizzlies fall to a dominant Canadore squad.
In the first set, both teams struggled to find their rhythm, resulting in a close scoreline. However, Canadore managed to edge out Georgian with a score of 25-23. The second set showcased Canadore's dominance, as they outplayed Georgian with a commanding 25-8 victory. The third set saw a more competitive performance from Georgian, but Canadore ultimately sealed the win with a score of 25-21.
Georgian's offensive performance was led by Emily Dixon (Kemptville, ON), who contributed 3 kills, and Carina Brooks (Caledon, ON), who added 4 kills.
Despite the loss, Georgian's Mattea De Francesco (Barrie, ON) displayed strong defensive skills, recording 13 digs. Ashtyn Smith (Barrie, ON) also made a notable contribution with 13 digs. Mackenzie Roy showcased her versatility, tallying 2 kills, 7 assists, and 8 digs.
The Grizzlies hit the road on wednesday to face George Brown and return home on saturday against Loyalist.
