WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO PANTHERS
Lauren French and the Grizzlies battled hard but fell to the Canadore Panthers in straight sets 3-0 on Friday night at home.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the Canadore Panthers on Friday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
The Grizzlies battled hard but some errors came back to be costly as Georgian fell 3-0 to the Panthers.
Set scores in the match were 25-21, 25-16, 25-16.
Domenica De Francesco (Barrie) had 12 kills and three aces for the Grizzlies in a 15 point game. Sophia Clement (Scarborough) had 19 assists and two aces in the contest.
The loss drops the Grizzlies record to 1-1 on the season as they currently sit in a tie for fourth place in the OCAA east division standings.
The Grizzlies will play their next game on the road when they travel to face the Seneca Sting on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
Georgian's next home game will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9 when the Grizzlies host the Centennial Colts at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
