GRIZZLIES EXCITED WITH ADDITION OF SOPHIA CLEMENT
Sophia Clement, a setter, will join the women's volleyball team in the fall while entering the Environmental Sustainability degree program
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball program is pleased to announce the addition of Sophia Clement out of Notre Dame High School in Toronto.
Currently a member of the Evolution Volleyball Club out of Pickering, Clement will be entering the Environmental Sustainability program in the fall.
The ability to combine her love of volleyball and to build on her future ambitions through a degree program made Georgian the right fit.
"I'm really excited for the competitiveness of playing in the OCAA," said Clement. "I'm looking forward to be part of the Grizzlies family and to work really hard with the team."
Having always cared about the environment Clement is excited to begin her program.
"I've always been interested in the environment. I think it's increasingly important with climate change to figure out a way to make the world better."
Grizzlies women's volleyball Head Coach Brad Graham is thrilled his new recruit decided on Georgian.
"Sophia will make an immediate impact," said Graham. "We are excited about where her game is at now and the type of player she will grow into. She certainly has a bright future both on and off the court."
The Georgian Grizzlies 2017-18 women's volleyball season will begin in October with tryout dates announced in the near future. If you are interested in becoming a varsity athlete please fill out our prospective student-athletes form.
