GRIZZLIES VOLLEYBALL GEAR UP FOR OCAA ALL-STAR GAMES
Katharyn Avery, Ashley Mavreas, Liam Gray, Darien Haynes along with coaches Brad Graham and Reid Saxby will take part.
Four student-athletes from the Georgian Grizzlies men's and women's volleyball teams will be participating in the 2017 OCAA Volleyball All-Star Games on Saturday hosted by Durham College in Oshawa, ON.
The festivities kick-off Saturday morning with the all-star skills competition followed by the women's and men's all-star games in the afternoon.
Katharyn Avery (Barrie) and Ashley Mavreas (Barrie) will participate in the women's game. Avery, an OCAA East Division First Team All-Star, will take part in the serving challenge while Mavreas will participate in both the hardest spike and passing accuracy competitions during the skills challenge.
On the men's side Georgian will be represented by CCAA All-Canadian Liam Gray (Barrie) and fellow OCAA East Division First Team All-Star Darien Haynes (Barrie). Gray will participate in the serving challenge and passing accuracy competition while Haynes will be in the hardest spike challenge in the men's skills competition.
In addition, Georgian's Men's Head Coach Reid Saxby and Women's Head Coach Brad Graham will both be on the coaching staffs of their respective east division teams.
