The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team has been a determined group this season and that continued as they took on the Centennial Colts on Sunday in Toronto.
For the third game in a row the Grizzlies dropped the opening set and for the third time in a row they came back to win.
It was a tight battle but in the end it was the Grizzlies on top with a 3-1 win (21-25, 25-16, 25-23, 25-23).
Kelsey Watson led the way with 16 points (14 kills, 2 blocks) while Ashley Mavreas was also strong with 10 points (9 kills, 1 block).
Brianne Berriault added 13 digs to her impressive total this season. In her first year at Georgian, Berriault currenlty leads the entire OCAA in digs with 134.
The Grizzlies finish the first half of their regular season schedule with a 7-2 record which puts them solidly in third place in the OCAA east division standings.
Georgian will now have time to regroup and prepare for the second half which gets underway on Jan. 11 when the Grizzlies host the Canadore Panthers at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
