The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team opened their OCAA regular season on Friday night when they hosted the Fleming Knights at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The women's team made short work of the Knights winning in straight sets 3-0 (25-13, 25-11, 25-13).
Katharyn Avery had a strong game registering five kills and six blocks while teammates Kelsey Watson (7 kills, 2 blocks) and Kathryn Marks (4 kills, 2 aces, 2 blocks) also had impressive performances.
Next up for the Grizzlies women's volleyball team, they will hit the road for a pair of games against George Brown (Oct. 26) and Canadore (Oct. 30). The next Grizzlies home game is on Thursday, Nov. 3 when they host the Durham Lords at 6 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
