The game started off with both teams displaying strong offensive skills. Georgian took an early lead in the first quarter, scoring 19 points compared to Seneca's 16. The second quarter saw Georgian extending their lead even further, outscoring Seneca 21-12. At halftime, Georgian held a comfortable 40-28 lead.
The third quarter continued to be in Georgian's favor as they maintained their offensive momentum. They added another 20 points to their tally, while Seneca struggled to keep up, managing only 17 points. The final quarter was a complete domination by Georgian, as they outscored Seneca 30-4, sealing their victory with a final score of 90-49.
Georgian's Janella Viado (Milton, ON) had an outstanding performance, leading her team with 27 points. She displayed her shooting prowess, sinking seven three-pointers during the game. Ami May (Raymond, AB) also contributed significantly to Georgian's victory, scoring 23 points and providing excellent playmaking with 10 assists.
Georgian's defense also shined forcing Seneca to a particularly low shooting percentage, with only 27.4% of their shots finding the mark.
Georgian's strong defensive presence was evident throughout the game, with Lily Roberts-Neef (St. Thomas, ON) and Daija Thompson (Whitby, ON) leading the team with 8 rebounds each. Their efforts limited Seneca's second-chance opportunities and prevented them from gaining any momentum.
