The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the St. Lawrence Vikings on Saturday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
The Grizzlies had a very solid effort but ran out of steam late as the Vikings took the match 55-44.
Cassidy Warren-Timpano (Barrie) was excellent in the match scoring a team-high 17 points while teammate Kelsey Dunkeld (Barrie) had 10 points.
Rookie Alexis Knight (Wasaga Beach) led the team with a season-high 10 rebounds.
The Grizzlies will continue their four-game home stand when they host the Durham Lords on Friday, Jan. 24 at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The women's game gets underway at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
