The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted their first home game of the semester against the visiting Algonquin Thunder on Saturday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The match was a tough one for the Grizzlies as they couldn't find a way to shut down the Algonquin offence falling 77-42.
Hannah Pearsall had a team high 16 points while Leah Bracken 13 points in the loss.
The Grizzlies women's team will play an important match in their next home game when they host the Centennial Colts on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
The Colts hold a one-win advantage on the Grizzlies for fifth place in the OCAA east division standings.
