Barrie, ON -- Four Grizzlies take home major hardware; Ang wins Men's Volleyball OCAA Player of the Year
The OCAA announced their men's volleyball regular season award winners on Wednesday and the Georgian Grizzlies program earned lots of hardware.
Topping the list is fourth year setter Kenneth Ang (Edmonton, AB) who was named OCAA Player of the Year, East Division First Team All Star and OCAA East Division Player of the Year. As the OCAA Player of the Year he will also be recognized as a CCAA All Canadian at the CCAA National Championship. Ang was also named OCAA Men's Volleyball Assist Champion averaging 9.88 assists/set.
Tyrell Belgrove (Markham, ON) was named OCAA Rookie of the Year, East Division All Rookie team and was named the East Divison Rookie of the Year.
Fourth year outside hitter Liam Ludlow (Barrie, ON) was named East Division First Team All Star and third year Ethan Eiselt-Rolfe (Barrie, ON) was named East Divison Second Team All Star.
The Grizzlies are next in action on Saturday at 7pm on McConney Court taking on the West fourth place Cambrian in OCAA Quarterfinal action. The winner will advance to the OCAA Final Four Championship.
