MEN'S VOLLEYBALL KEEPS ROLLING WITH WIN OVER COLTS
Kaelan Kloetstra had a big game registering 21 points including a game high nine kills, nine aces and three blocks in a 3-0 win.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team hosted the Centennial Colts at the Georgian Athletic Centre on Saturday afternoon.
It was another solid effort by Georgian's men's team who were pushed by Centennial but were able to come away with an impressive 3-0 win. Set scores were 25-22, 25-19 and 26-24 for the home side.
It was a big game for rookie Kaelan Kloetstra.
The London native entered play leading the entire OCAA in kills-per-set, aces-per-set and points per-set and he picked up right where he left off. Kloetstra had a team high nine kills, nine aces and three blocks for a 21 point game.
Teammate Gibson Graham (Markham) was also solid with 19 assists and six points in the win.
Georgian remains undefeated on the season with a 4-0 record and they currently sit in a three-way tie for first place in the OCAA east division standings tied with the Durham Lords and George Brown Huskies, the Grizzlies next two opponents.
Georgian will play their next three games on the road beginning with the Durham on Friday, Nov. 15 followed by games against the George Brown on Nov. 20 and the Loyalist Lancers on Nov. 23.
The Grizzlies will play their next home games on Friday, Nov. 29 when they host the Algonquin Thunder at the Georgian Athletic Centre. The women's game gets underway at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
