MEN'S VOLLEYBALL LOOK TO MAKE HISTORY AT CHAMPIONSHIP
The Grizzlies head into this year's OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship with clear goals in mind.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team has had a historic season compiling a perfect 18-0 regular season record.
The previous high for wins in a season for the program was 14 which was set last season. The Grizzlies finished in first place in the OCAA east division standings and were the only undefeated team in the entire league.
Head Coach Reid Saxby, now in his second season at the helm, has his team's eyes set on bringing home some hardware at provincials.
Georgian will be in the championship for the first time since 2014 when they hosted the provincials. The Grizzlies have previously never won a medal at the provincial championship and will be looking to build on this historic season.
The Grizzlies will open the 2017 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship presented by belairdirect hosted by Mohawk College on Thursday night against the Humber Hawks.
Georgian haven't faced the Hawks in a match since the 2014 provincials when they met in the opening round quarter-final, a match won by Humber 3-0.
Just like this year's historic rise, the Grizzlies will be looking to reverse those fortunes.
