Grizzlies men's volleyball extend win streak to six
Georgian rallied after dropping the opening set to run the table in a 3-1 win over La Cite on Sunday afternoon.
With their perfect record on the line once again, the Georgian Grizzlies faced some adversity on Sunday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre against the La Cite Coyotes.
The Grizzlies found themselves out of sync dropping the first set to the Coyotes.
Georgian once again showed their resiliency this year, battling back to take the next three sets and the match 3-1 (19-25, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17).
Darien Haynes led the way for the Grizzlies with a team high nine kills, three stuff blocks and a serving ace.
The Barrie, ON native has been solid all season and ranks in the top 15 of all OCAA players in scoring.
Adam Bielby wrapped up another good game for the Grizzlies veteran scoring eight kills, three serving aces and a stuff block.
The Grizzlies remain undefeated to start the season and have stretched their winning streak to six games. They currently sit in first place in the OCAA east division standings.
Georgian will be back in action next Sunday, Nov. 20 when they host the Loyalist Lancers at 3 p.m.
