Grizzlies look strong as they open season with win over Fleming

The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team opened their OCAA regular season on Friday night when they hosted the Fleming Knights at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
It was a series of tight sets, but the Grizzlies prevailed in the game straight sets 3-0 (25-19, 25-21, 25-22).
Last year's Georgian Male Athlete of the Year Darien Haynes picked up where he left off recording a team high 14 kills, two serving aces and two stuff blocks. Liam Gray was consistent recording three kills, three serving aces and three stuff blocks while Matt Kerr had seven kills and four blocks in the win.
Next up for the Grizzlies, they will hit the road for a pair of games against George Brown (Oct. 26) and Canadore (Oct. 30). The next Grizzlies home game is on Thursday, Nov. 3 when they host the Durham Lords at 8 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
