The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team travelled to take on the Durham Lords on Friday night in Oshawa.
It was a tight battle, but the Grizzlies let one slip away late.
Durham was able to hit some clutch shots in the fourth quarter to pull away from the Grizzlies for a 78-68 win.
Georgian's Tyler Vanessen (Whitby) had a team-high 18 points and 14 rebounds to earn his sixth double-double of the season while Anthony Meggo (Whitby) had 17 points in the loss.
The loss snaps Georgian's three game winning streak as the Grizzlies now hold a 8-8 record are in sixth place in the OCAA east division standings.
The Grizzlies will now return home when they host the Seneca Sting on Friday, Feb. 8 with the women's game beginning at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
Tickets to all Grizzlies home games are available to the public for $5 each.
