The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team continued their pre-season schedule on Wednesday night when they travelled to take on the Conestoga Condors in Kitchener, ON.
The Grizzlies earned their first win of the pre-season thanks to a huge fourth quarter effort outscoring the Condors 25-11 in the final frame to take the game 83-74.
Returning veterans Anthony Meggo (Whitby) led the team with a huge 26 point effort and Tyler Vanessen (Whitby) had a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds.
Georgian will wrap up their pre-season when they take part in the Sheridan Bruin Bash this weekend in Oakville.
The Grizzlies will open their 2017-18 OCAA regular season on Friday, Oct. 20 when they host the Algonquin Thunder at the Georgian Athletic Centre at 8 p.m. The game is open to the public and tickets are available for the game at the door for $5. Students can pick up tickets for FREE in advance at the Athletic Centre.
