MEN'S BASKETBALL FALLS AS REDEEMER PULLS AWAY LATE

The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team played their first pre-season exhibition games of the season on Tuesday night against the Redeemer Royals in Ancaster, ON.
It was a tight contest until the Royals blew the close game wide open in the fourth quarter outscoring the Grizzlies by 29 points to pull away with a 98-57 win.
Returning veteran Johnathan Edwards (Brampton) led the team with 18 points while newcomer Levi St. Pierre had 13 in the loss.
Georgian will continue their pre-season schedule with a game next Wednesday, Oct. 11 when they travel to face the Conestoga Condors.
The Grizzlies will open their 2017-18 OCAA regular seasons on Friday, Oct. 20 when they host the Algonquin Thunder at 8 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
