Grizzlies men's basketball finish road trip strong
Anthony Meggo had 26 points to lead the Grizzlies to an impressive 76-56 victory over La Cite on Sunday
The Georgian Grizzlies men's basketball team wrapped up their three-game road stretch against the La Cite Coyotes on Sunday afternoon in Ottawa.
After dropping the last two games, the Grizzlies looked to rebound and came out strong. They opened the game on a 14-4 run and never looked back, defeating the Coyotes 76-56.
Anthony Meggo had a great game scoring a team high 26 points while also adding seven assists and three rebounds.
Tyler Vanessen continued his strong play with 20 points and seven rebounds while Connor Laronde picked up 16 points of his own.
The Grizzlies improved their record to 3-3 on the season and they currently sit in sixth place in the OCAA east division standings.
Georgian will now enter an important stretch as they will play three out of their next four games at home to wrap up the first half of the season.
First up will be a game against division rivals the Centennial Colts, who are currently in second place in the east standings with a 5-1 record.
That game will take place this coming Saturday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
