Dilley Captures Silver Medal , Men Qualify For Nationals
Windsor, ON – Bryden Dilley (Barrie, ON) captured the silver medal at the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association (OCAA) Golf Championships held at the Ambassador Golf Club. Dilley, in her second season the Grizzlies, finished with a three-day total of 232 in the women's individual competition. After shooting an opening round one-under 70, Bryden finished with back-to-back rounds of 81. Bryden will move on to compete at the 2023 Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) Golf National Championships in Quebec City from October 16-20.
Also making the trip to Quebec City is the Georgian men's team, who earned the final team spot from Ontario with a fourth-place finish. They edged out the fifth-place team by one-stroke with a three-day total of 921.Gavin Prosser (Johnstown, ON) led the Grizzlies with an impressive seventh-place finish with rounds of 73, 72 and 74. Graeme MacDougall (Huntsville, ON) finished in 15th position, while Chris Miller (Huntsville, ON) ended up 21st. Colton Day (Kamloops, BC) and Matthew Inglis (Barrie, ON) finished in a four-way tie in 26th position.
