As the 2016 Georgian 3-Pitch season pauses for reading week, two teams lead the pack heading into the regular season's final weeks.
The Louisville Tuggers continue to sit atop the standings, but are no longer undefeated. The team put their 5-0 record on the line against Where's My P's At last Wednesday and looked poised to go to 6-0 after scoring five runs in the top of the 7th to take a 16-14 lead. However, WMPA was not to be denied, scoring three in the bottom half of the inning for a walk-off 17-16 win.
Joining the Tuggers at the top with a 5-1 record are the 2015 finalists No Glove No Love. After dropping their opening game of the season to Louisville, NGNL has rattled off 5 wins in a row, including two wins last week – 11-8 over the Master Batters and 21-6 over Can't Hit That.
League play resumes on Tuesday with games Tuesday through Thursday; the regular season concludes on July 13th.
