TORONTO, ON -- Grizzlies pull off the sweep, extend winning streak to five, in impressive victory.
The Georgian men's volleyball team dominated Centennial, winning the game with a final score of 3-0. Georgian's exceptional performance left the crowd in awe.
Right from the start, Georgian showcased their prowess on the court, taking control of the game and never looking back. In the first set, they secured a comfortable lead with a score of 25-19. Liam Ludlow (Barrie, ON) emerged as a key player for Georgian, contributing 11 kills and displaying an impressive hitting percentage of .476. His efforts played a significant role in securing the team's victory.
Georgian's setter, Kenneth Ang (Edmonton, AB), demonstrated exceptional skills in distributing the ball effectively, tallying 32 assists throughout the match. His ability to set up his teammates for successful attacks allowed Georgian to maintain their dominance over Centennial. Additionally, Liam Thomas (Barrie, ON) and Adam Khan (Scarborough, ON) made notable contributions, with Thomas recording 10 kills and Khan adding 8 kills to the team's total.
Defensively, Georgian displayed an outstanding performance, with Shaun McLaughlin (Toronto, ON) leading the team with 6 digs. Their strong defensive efforts limited Centennial's scoring opportunities and prevented them from gaining momentum. Gage McCurdy (Burlington, ON) also made an impact with his blocking, contributing one block and proving his value as a defensive asset for the team.
