GRIZZLIES CROSS COUNTRY WITH GOOD SHOWING AT PROVINCIALS
Kaitlyn L'Abbe was the top Georgian women's runner in 7th place and Michael MacInnes was the top Georgian male runner in 18th.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's and women's cross country teams competed at the 2018 OCAA Cross Country Championships on Saturday in Scarborough, ON.
It was a tremendous race again for Georgian's Kaitlyn L'Abbe (Ottawa) who finished in seventh place at the race with a time of 24:27.
Close behind was teammate Meaghan Evon (Barrie) who finished the 6km course in a time of 26:14 to finish in 15th position.
Jessica Roach (Orillia) finished in 28th place while Sophia Merilainen (Batawa) finished in 54th overall.
Combined Georgian's women's team finished in sixth place.
In the men's 8km race it was Michael MacInnes (Barrie) who was Georgian's top runner in 18th place overall.
He was followed by Jeffrey Scott (Newmarket) who finished in 29th overall, Tyler Thomson (Bracebridge) in 39th overall, William Britton (Ottawa) in 72nd overall, David Sun (China) in 88th overall and Nelvin Sen (India) in 89th.
As a team the Grizzlies finished in the top half of the field in 7th overall.
