KAITLYN L'ABBE NAMED TO OCAA THREE STARS OF THE WEEK
Kaitlyn L'Abbe was named one of the OCAA Athletes of the Week after winning the Seneca cross country invitational on Saturday.
Women's cross country runner Kaitlyn L'Abbe was named an OCAA star of the week for his accomplishments during the seven-day period ending Sunday, Sept. 30.
L'Abbe was the fastest of 68 competitors at the Seneca Invitational women's cross country race last Saturday.
The second-year science in nursing major ran a six kilometre time of 24:24, sixteen seconds ahead of the second place finisher, reigning OCAA champion Janelle Hanna of Fanshawe. L'Abbe improved her time by four minutes and 34 seconds on the same course last season.
OCAA cross country runners have one more tune-up race on Oct. 13 at Centennial College before racing at provincials on Oct. 27 at the University of Toronto Scarborough.
