Ottawa, ON -- Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team fall to Algonquin in four sets, 3-1.
In the first set, Georgian College struggled to find their rhythm, resulting in a score of 25-20 in favor of Algonquin. However, Georgian College put up a strong fight in the second set, narrowly winning with a score of 26-24. Algonquin dominated the third and fourth sets, with scores of 25-20 and 25-21 respectively, securing their victory.
Georgian College's Carina Brooks (Caledon, ON) was a standout player for the Grizzlies, recording 16 kills with a hitting percentage of .500. Ashlynn Harris (Orillia, ON) also made significant contributions with 5 kills and 2 blocks.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team will be back in action tomorrow for the second and final match of their Ottawa roadtip vs. College La Cite.
