WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL RESILIENT IN WIN OVER COLTS

The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the Centennial Colts at the Georgian Athletic Centre on Saturday afternoon.
The Grizzlies faced some stiff competition in the Colts but Georgian showed great resiliency pulling out a 3-1 win.
Set scores in the match were 25-20, 21-25, 25-19 and 25-21 in Georgian's favour.
It was a pair of rookies who led the way for the Grizzlies. Carina Brooks (Caledon) had a team high 13 kills along with five aces for an 18 point game while teammate Isabella Antonelli (Windsor) had nine kills and a team high six aces.
Sophia Clement (Scarborough) continued her strong start to the season with 22 assists and five aces in the win.
The Grizzlies improved their record to 3-1 on the season and they currently sit in a tie for third place in the OCAA east division standings.
Georgian will play their next three games on the road beginning with the Durham Lords on Friday, Nov. 15 followed by games against the George Brown Huskies on Nov. 20 and the Loyalist Lancers on Nov. 23.
The Grizzlies will play their next home games on Friday, Nov. 29 when they host the Algonquin Thunder at the Georgian Athletic Centre. The women's game gets underway at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m.
