The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the undefeated Canadore Panthers on Wednesday night at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
The Grizzlies played one of their best sets of the year to open the match, but could not finish off the Panthers, falling 28-26.
Canadore settled down after the opening set scare and took control in the next two sets to take the match 3-0 (28-26, 25-17, 25-19).
Georgian's Alyssa Muller (Whitby) continued her strong play with six aces and four kills for a team-high 10 points.
The Grizzlies fall to 3-5 and will finish off the first semester of play with a road game on Saturday, December 1st at Fleming.
