The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team started their eastern road swing on Friday night against the Algonquin Thunder in Ottawa.
It was a tough night for the Grizzlies who were unable to get things going in the first two sets falling in three straight 3-0.
The Thunder were able to take the sets 25-14, 25-11 and 25-22.
Alandria Czerkas (Sudbury) was Georgian's leading scorer with seven points from four kills and three aces. Alyssa Muller (Whitby) and Kelsey Watson (Barrie) each had five point games.
The Grizzlies now have a 2-2 record on the season but will be back in action on Saturday when they take on the La Cite Coyotes to wrap up their road trip.
Georgian will play their next home game on Wednesday, Nov. 14 when they host the Durham Lords at the Georgian Athletic Centre.
Tickets are available at the doors for $5 plus the first 500 fans in attendance will receive a free "GC State" wristband.
