The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team travelled to face the Seneca Sting in their final game of the first half of the season on Wednesday night in Toronto, ON.
The Grizzlies continued their strong play as of late as they were able to make quick work of the Sting winning in straight sets 3-0 (25-14, 26-24, 25-17).
Kelsey Watson had a big effort leading the team in kills (7), blocks (2) and aces (1). The Barrie native now has a career total of 520 points in her four years of play split between Georgian and Cambrian College.
Teammates Quinn McGregor (Lindsay) and Kathryn Marks (Innisfil) each registered six kills in the win.
Georgian has now gone on a run winning six of their last seven games and has won four straight. In their last four games they have been particularly strong as they have only dropped one set during that stretch.
The Grizzlies find themselves quickly climbing up in the OCAA east division standings as they currently sit in fourth place.
The team will now get a break before starting the second half of the season in January. The Grizzlies will play their next regular season home game on Thursday, Jan. 11 when they host the Centennial Colts at the Georgian Athletic Centre at 6 p.m.
