WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL SWEEP COYOTES
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team won 3-0 with sets of 25-9, 25-21 and 25-16 on Saturday afternoon.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's volleyball team hosted the visiting La Cite Coyotes on Sunday afternoon at the Georgian Athletic Centre in Barrie.
It was a great bounce-back game for the Grizzlies as they made quick work of the Coyotes sweeping them in three sets 25-9, 25-21 and 25-16.
Quinn McGregor (Lindsay) had a big game with a team high 11 kills while also scoring an ace and a block. Kelsey Watson (Barrie) was strong once again for the Grizzlies with an 11 point effort from six kills, three blocks and two aces.
The win pulls Georgian to .500 on the season at 3-3 and they currently sit in fifth place in the OCAA east division standings.
The Grizzlies will be back in action next Saturday, Nov. 18 when the host the Fleming Knights at 1 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Tickets are available at the doors for $5. Students can pick up tickets for FREE at the Athletic Centre front desk.
