Women's indoor soccer can't find scoring touch at final tune up
The Grizzlies women's indoor soccer team played well but could only manage one goal at their own tournament Friday.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's indoor soccer team hosted their annual invitational tournament on Friday at the Bradford Sportsdome in Bradford, ON.
Goals were hard to come by for the Grizzlies at the tournament.
Georgian compiled a record of 0-1-2 with a 2-0 loss to Humber, a 1-1 tie with Centennial and a 0-0 tie with the Sault to wrap up the day.
A win against the Sault would have put the Grizzlies into second place and a spot in the final but Georgian couldn't capitalize on any of their chances.
Haley Nedelko (Lynden) had the lone goal for the Grizzlies on the day in the game against Centennial.
The Humber Hawks ran the table on the women's side going 4-0 to win the tournament.
This was the final tune up for the Grizzlies prior to competing at the OCAA Regionals which will take place on Monday, Mar. 6 hosted by Fanshawe College.
