Grizzlies Indoor Soccer set to battle for OCAA Championship in Ancaster
The Georgian Grizzlies Women’s Indoor Soccer team will head to Redeemer College on Friday to compete for a Provincial Championship.
The Georgian Grizzlies Women's Indoor Soccer team will head to Redeemer College on Friday to compete for a Provincial Championship.
The Women head into play as Ontario's hottest team, having won eight consecutive games en route to sweeping their past two tournaments. At the Regional qualifier, Georgian outscored opponents 12-1 in capturing the Group 'A' Title. Jenni Richardson led the way with four goals, and the Grizzlies front end speed stood out throughout the day.
The Barrie squad also captured the Georgian Invitational a week earlier, winning four straight and keeping their opposition off the score sheet. Katie Hale highlighted the Grizzlies performance with a pair of game winning goals.
Georgian's Pool consists of Conestoga, Humber and Fanshawe. The groups top two team's advance to Saturday's semi-final, scheduled for 10:00am. The second Pool is made up of Centennial, Seneca, St. Clair and Sheridan.
