The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted their first game of the new year at the Georgian Athletic Centre on Saturday afternoon in Barrie.
It was a tough scoring game for the Grizzlies as they hosted the St. Lawrence Vikings.
It was the second match between the two teams in the last eight days. This time the Vikings got redemption after losing to the Grizzlies last weekend, St. Lawrence responded with a 56-36 victory.
Mckenzie Howlett (Barrie) had team-highs in points with 10 and rebounds with nine while teammate Eden Young (Tottenham) had a nine point effort.
The Grizzlies have now lost two straight games.
The Grizzlies will play their next home game on Saturday, Jan. 26 when they host the Algonquin Thunder at 1 p.m.
