WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DROP TIGHT GAME TO STING
Eden Young and the Grizzlies had a tight game with the Sting until Seneca pulled away late to defeat Georgian 65-47
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team travelled to take on the Seneca Sting on Friday night in Toronto.
The Grizzlies had another good battle in a tight game but it was the Sting who pulled away late to defeat Georgian 65-47.
It was another tremendous game for Georgian's Kelsey Dunkeld.
The Barrie native posted a double-double with a team-high 19 points along with 15 rebounds. In her last two games, Dunkeld is averaging 21.0 points-per-game.
Teammate Cassidy Warren-Timpano also was strong posting 12 points in the loss.
Georgian will be back in action next weekend for an eastern road trip when they take on the Algonquin Thunder next Friday night.
The Grizzlies will play their final home game of the first half of the season on Friday, Nov. 30 when they host the St. Lawrence Vikings.
The double header starts with the women's game at 6 p.m. followed by the men's game at 8 p.m. Tickets for both games are available at the door for $5.
