SECOND HALF COSTS GRIZZLIES AGAINST LANCERS
Georgian's women's basketball team had a tough second half falling 55-30 to the Lancers at home on Saturday.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team hosted the Loyalist Lancers at the Georgian Athletic on Saturday in Barrie.
It was a costly second half for the Grizzlies.
The two teams battled back and forth in the first half with the Lancers holding a slim 20-18 lead over the Grizzlies, but the second half was a different story.
Loyalist got some red hot shooting the rest of the way and pulled away to defeat the Grizzlies 55-30.
Kayla Denes (Barrie) led the Grizzlies with eight points while teammate Eden Young (Tottenham) had six points.
The loss dropped the Grizzlies to 0-3 on the season as they continue to look for their first win.
Next Grizzlies home double-header will be on Thursday, Nov. 8 when Georgian hosts the Centennial Colts at the Athletic Centre. The women's game goes at 6 p.m. with the men's game following at 8 p.m.
