GRIZZLIES FALL TO COLTS TO OPEN SECOND HALF
Jessica Stockdale takes the tip-off as she scored a season high 14 points but it wasn't enough for the Grizzlies to beat the Colts
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team opened up the second half of the regular season on Wednesday night when they travelled to face the Centennial Colts in Toronto, ON.
Shooting was an issue in the game for the Grizzlies as they found themselves in a deep hole by halftime and were unable to recover.
The Colts were able to hold on from start to finish in a 70-35 victory.
Jessica Stockdale (Orillia) had a season high 14 point effort while Dayna Snowdon (Kemptville) scored eight points and matched a team high with seven rebounds.
The Grizzlies will play their next game on Friday, Jan. 26 when they travel to Ottawa to take on the Algonquin Thunder.
Georgian will play their next home game on Friday, Feb. 9 when they host the Loyalist Lancers at 6 p.m. at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Tickets to all home games are available at the doors for $5.
