SECOND HALF SINKS GRIZZLIES AGAINST VIKINGS
The Grizzlies women's basketball team fell 62-41 on Saturday to the St. Lawrence Vikings in Kingston.
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team wrapped up their first road trip of the season on Saturday afternoon when they took on the St. Lawrence Vikings in Kingston, ON.
Georgian hung with the Vikings throughout the first half but in the second half St. Lawrence found their scoring touch and pulled away from the Grizzlies to win 62-41.
Jessica Stockdale (Orillia) had a season high 12 points in the contest while Dayna Snowdon (Kemptville) had 10 points off the bench.
The Grizzlies won't have to wait long to try again for an opportunity at that elusive first win of the season.
Georgian will host their rivals the Durham Lords on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Game time is set for 6 p.m. and tickets are available at the doors for $5. Students can pick up tickets for FREE in advance at the Athletic Centre front desk.
