The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team headed on the road for the first time this season to take on the Loyalist Lancers on Friday night in Belleville, ON.
Georgian got out to a slow start and while they battled hard they couldn't get back into the game falling 57-40.
Hannah Sweet (Barrie) continued her impressive start to her rookie campaign scoring a team high 11 points while Jessica Stockdale (Orillia) had eight points along with five rebounds.
The Grizzlies will continue their road trip on Saturday afternoon when they take on the St. Lawrence Vikings in Kingston.
Georgian will return home for a big game against the Durham Lords on Tuesday, Nov. 7 at the Georgian Athletic Centre. Tickets are available for $5 at the door for the double-header with the women's game at 6 p.m. and the men's game scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
