GRIZZLIES WOMEN'S BASKETBALL FALL IN PLAYOFF BATTLE
Georgian fell 62-45 to Fanshawe in the OCAA crossover playoff game on Saturday in London, ON
The Georgian Grizzlies women's basketball team travelled to face the Fanshawe Falcons in an OCAA crossover playoff game on Saturday afternoon in London, ON.
Georgian were the underdogs as the sixth seed in the east division on the road against the west's third seed and while they battled hard it wasn't enough to pull off the upset.
The Falcons got the lead early and never looked back as the Grizzlies fell 62-45.
Hannah Pearsall (Guelph) led Georgian with an 18 point performance while Leah Bracken (St. Catharines) had 17 points.
While it was a tough to lose in a playoff game, the Grizzlies had many positives this year that led to their first playoff appearance since 2011.
With a strong core of players returning next year, there are nothing but high hopes moving forward for the Grizzlies.
