McCurdy, McLaughlin Move Grizzlies Forward
The Georgian Grizzlies (12-1) traveled to face the George Brown Huskies (2-10) on Saturday.
What Happened: A Georgian Grizzlies team fresh off the feeling of their first defeat of the semester entered the George Brown Huskies' arena with a fire lit inside them. From the start of the match it was Georgian's game to play, putting a strong offence forward to close the match out in three sets, 25-17, 25-16, and 25-20.
Georgian's Gage McCurdy contributed thirteen kills and three digs, while Shane McLaughlin put up seven kills and one dig for the Grizzlies. On the Huskies side of the court, David Kiswa contributed ten kills and five digs against the Grizzlies.
What's Next: Grizzlies are back in action for Bell Let's Talk day on January 25th when they host the Seneca Sting, women's game starts at 6PM with the men to follow at 8PM. Students can attend the game for free with their ONECard and are encouraged to dress in blue for this event! Tickets are available at the door for $5.
