LIAM GRAY NAMED CCAA ALL-CANADIAN
Men's volleyball player Liam Gray received his CCAA All-Canadian award on March 7th in Victoria, BC.
Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball player Liam Gray was officially named a Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association All-Canadian last night in Victoria, BC.
There are 10 student-athletes from across the country that are named as a CCAA All-Canadian and are selected by their conference based on their performance and contribution to their sport and their team.
Gray received his award at the 2018 CCAA Men's Volleyball National Championship banquet hosted by Camosun College on Wednesday night.
The Barrie native is now a two-time winner of the award, having also been recognized as an All-Canadian last season. Gray led the OCAA as the only player to post double-digits in assists-per-set with 10.05.
The third-year setter has been instrumental in Georgian's success on the court. Georgian has won back-to-back OCAA east division titles and they have lost only one regular season game in the last two years compiling a record of 35-1.
Gray has led the Grizzlies to a playoff berth in each of his three seasons and he is the only Georgian men's volleyball player in the team's history to be named a CCAA All-Canadian.
