MEN'S VOLLEYBALL DOMINANT TO END REGULAR SEASON
Georgian's Jordi Romero led the team in scoring with 14 points as the Grizzlies won in straight sets 3-0 over La Cite.
The Georgian Grizzlies men's volleyball team wrapped up their OCAA regular season on Sunday with an impressive victory over the La Cite Coyotes in Ottawa.
Even with first place in the east division standings locked up the men's team didn't take their foot off the gas.
The Grizzlies were able to win once again in straight sets 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 26-24).
Jordi Romero (Brampton) continued his incredible season with a team high 12 kills as part of a 14 point game. Darien Haynes (Barrie) was also solid with 10 kills and a block while Liam Gray (Barrie) had 34 assists along with three aces.
The Grizzlies finish the regular season with a 17-1 record and are the top team in the OCAA east division standings. The team's next match will come on opening night of the 2018 OCAA Men's Volleyball Championship presented by belairdirect which will be hosted by Georgian from Feb. 22-24. The Grizzlies game will take place at 8 p.m. that evening against a yet to be determined opponent.
